With a master’s degree in art history and museum studies, I am passionate about the arts and have written extensively about them for institutions such as the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the U.S. Postal Service and the University of Virginia. My arts-related articles also have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, The Denver Post and Newcity arts magazine.
I wrote approximately 1,200 artist biographies and object descriptions for the J. Paul Getty Museum website.
I wrote the biography of Van Gogh, capturing the essence of his life and art in about 200 words. (The painting above is a self-portrait in the National Gallery of Art, Washington.)
In this article, I captured the spirit of the times as well as the man in about 200 words, along with the facts of his life. (The photograph of Ingres above is in the J. Paul Getty Museum collection.)
I wrote this article for the USPS daily staff newsletter (800,000 subscribers). With New Deal murals in post offices around the country, the U.S. Postal Service has the largest collection of public art in the United States. Read the article by clicking on the link below.
